The doctors and staff of Chicopee Eyecare are pleased to announce the reopening of our practice at 113 Center Street on May 18, 2020. We welcome you and your family back to our office for comprehensive eyecare and contact lens and optical services.
In light of the outbreak of COVID-19, we have implemented strict new protocols in conjunction with federal and state guidelines to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and ensure the safety of our staff and patients. We are wearing masks in the office, using recommended disinfectants as directed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and scheduling fewer patients to help with social distancing. Upon entry, we are taking the temperature and asking COVID-19 related questions of staff and patients and requiring proper hand sanitation. Furthermore, we have installed plexiglass windows as a protective shield between staff and patients at check in and check out.
For the time being, the number of patients in our office at one time is limited to six and all patients over the age of two must enter wearing a mask or face covering and keep it on at all times. We ask that companions wait outside the office unless assistance is needed such as accompanying a child or assisting an elderly or handicapped patient. We will continue to offer Telehealth consultations for select conditions that can be conducted via FaceTime, Zoom or phone call.
Patients who want to utilize curbside service to pick up eyeglasses or contact lenses can call the office when they are in the parking lot and an optician or staff member will meet them at their car.
We are all optimistic that despite the challenges imposed by the virus, we can continue to offer the same high quality and personalized eyecare that we have been providing since 1974. We value our relationships forged over the years with you and your loved ones, and look forward to seeing you again soon. In the meantime, stay safe and be well.
Our philosophy is to combine the latest in optometric knowledge, the most advanced examination and treatment procedures, and state of the art instrumentation to provide you with the best possible eyecare. However, we don't just treat visual problems and eye diseases, we treat people. Our mission statement, as stated on our waiting room wall, reads as follows:
"The people in this office are committed to providing you with the highest quality of eyecare and to treating you with kindness and respect."
We welcome the opportunity to serve you. Our goal is to insure you a lifetime of healthy eyes and clear and comfortable vision.
